"Akar" follows Bodhi, an orphaned monk who left the temple where he grew up to seek adventure and self-revelation in Asia. Supernova was intended to be a trilogy but with the release of the second book, " Supernova: Akar" ("Supernova: Root") in 2002, Dee realized that she wanted to take her time to tell the protagonist's story. "I told my husband, if I already reached that point, I would be ready to die anytime," she said jokingly.
